Ohms for fuel level gauge?

Ohms for fuel level gauge?
Just in case I have to go with a completely different fuel tank. I see on most universal tanks they have a fuel sender. 0 ohms=empty and 90 ohms full. There are others with different ohm readings. Does anyone know the Jaguar ohm readings for the stock fuel gauge? I tried testing my sending unit but its so rusty its not reading anything and I have not started the grueling task of tank removal on the other side

I don't know if this will help.
I've just bought a new old stock Lucas fuel tank sender for jaguar xj6/12 1976 (hopefully)
Lucas part number smb163??? lucas tbs 5514/022??? Nothing on google
I measured the resistance for you and it varies between 17 to 270 ohms.
The replacement parts seem to be still available. e.g. http://www.jagspares.co.uk/Manners/C...e=10&offset=10
