Default Other Resources?

I just got the latest catalog in the mail from MOSS. Wonderful book, but it's for E-types, which does me no good.

Other than this forum and XJ Lovers, what resources do you recommend for an XJ Series 1, 2 or 3 owner? Catalogs? Websites?

Moss has another catalog for XJs. I reckon they'd send one on request.

For parts I've had good luck with Coventry West, SNG Barret, Welsh Jaguar, Motorcars LTD, Paul's Jaguar.

I don't think I've ordered much Jag stuff from Moss but I've always been happy with their products and service when I've needed MG parts

BPNW (British Parts Northwest) doesn't do much Jag stuff but often have great prices on ordinary service items for Jags. Good service, too

For used parts go to David at EverydayXJ.com as he's a great guy and has very fair prices

Cheers

I'll second everything DD has written. I get nearly all my parts from Moss (xks.com). Never had an issue with them. On rare occasion I'll order from Rockauto.com...sometimes their pricing is quite a bit lower. SNG Barret is great, and of coarse good old Ebay.

That's good to know. Maybe I can get off their XKE mailing list and get the XJ list instead.

Barratt provides a downloadable PDF of the complete parts catalog for all 3 XJ series.
it’s a valuable companion to the Haynes manual, which you must get if you haven’t.

A third to all above. I've personally had good luck with SNG Barratt for any parts. Rockauto has the best prices on fuel tanks if you ever need them. Your FLAPS (friendly local parts store) still provides brake calipers, starters, etc.for the later cars but quality can be variable. Parts Geek has a rather large number of parts for the SI-III XJs. They had a brake booster for a SII I used to have for a better price than anyone else at the time.

my experience with 3 orders for my 1965 S type And 1984 XJ-6 from XK's UNLTD. was horrible. Foul quality parts that didn't last and plain terrible customer support after the sale.

I never bought again from them. In fact I had to nvolve my bank in a transaction of faulty parts that XKs refused to do good with. My bank put their business on a blocked list and did what is called a "charge back" from their bank to my bank account. They thought I was going to stay quiet.

So, I am not surprised XKs went out of business. Something must have happened.

But I am surprised Moss Motors bought their stock of low quality part reproductions.
Watch out!

Order your XJ parts from a reputable company like SNG BARRAT USA store or MOTORCARS LTD. in Texas. They are the best since I started buying XJ parts back in 1990.

None of that "family business" baloney some try to push. In any case, dealing with The Family will be your worst nightmare.

For used and new factory original parts contact David at Everyday XJ He won't let you down.
