Hi, yeah, sorry about the language...
Yes, a reset switch. To turn off the dash light. I had/have heard that there is a switch or a button, in the trunk in some, what is actually a mileage counter and at 30,000Mi it lights the switch reminding of regular service. I have checked my trunk and haven't seen this thing. Any help would be a great, help

Not for your 1990.
The reset capability mentioned in this thread was for older models....roughly 1986-earlier

oxygen sensor
Hey, took a decent length trip in my '86 XJ6 this weekend, ~5 hours one way. No issues on the way there. As you well know, it did great on the highway. I ran between 70~80 mph most of the time. On the way back the Oxygen Sensor light came on. Does this truly mean my oxygen sensor is bad, or could it it also mean something else?
Car has ~116K miles on her, and I don't know if the sensor has ever been replaced. Car didn't seem to run any different after the light came on, and she delivered me back home with no issues. All aux. gauges looked normal.
As always, thanks for the help,
Eric

Sometimes just disconnecting the battery will clear warning lights or trouble codes.
On other cars, disconnecting both battery cables and touching them together does the trick.
If the warning light/message is displayed because the system detects an *actual fault* then replacing the faulty sensor might eventually extinguish the light, as the system will recognize the absence of the fault and turn off the light after xxx-number of driving cycles. I doubt it, as I don't think the systems of that vintage an do that....but maybe.
I'd post the question of the XJS. Someone will know the answer

In the boot looking forward with panel removed.
Correct plunger is circled on the left. I was fumbling with the white protrusion on the right; obviously with no effect.
Thanks to John_Cook12 for the photo; it got me in the right area but I found myself fumbling with the wrong "plunger" for a bit. Here are a couple shots that will hopefully prevent that for someone else. Mine is an '86.
