Default pickup module signals XJ12 Ser III '79

Hello, When becoming hot the car has more and more misfires and finally stalls. When I checked the pickup signals from/to the AB3 ignition amplifier from Lucas, with my scope I saw that signals are not always pure and often too small (<2.5V) on the red wire. Also on the primary of the coil I see misformations. They seem related.
I guess the misfires are caused by the signal being to small or impure.
Anyone has experience with those signals? They are new to me.
All voltages are to be multiplied by 10.

Why do'nt you invest in a new ignition system, on my 78 I bought a new
ignition system, Ignition for the distributor new coil new rotor and have not
touched it since 10 years ago.

No idea on those graphs, way outside my brain cells.

The Opus Ignition system is foickle. as already mentioned, and all mine were problematic.

I used a Crane XR700 waaaaay back then, and Sir Arthur is still thundering around with it fitted, and topped 540000kms recently, and I really have never touched that system since installing it in about 1993.

The original Opus amp was installed in the V, just aft of the a/c compressor, and very quickly relocated to outside the V by a "complaint only recall", due to excessive heat issues. Word is, that once relocated, problems are minimal.

Hello, Can you provide some more info on the replacement for a XJ12 PreHE 1979 with the 600MhZ pickup module; are there specific things to know. You replaced the pichup module too? Subtypes of CRANE XR700...? Thanks
