Not to hijack this thread, but since the new 'FORUM' format was introduced, I have been unable to post images as before. I even used Jose's recommendation of reducing the size of my pictures to no avail. Now, on many of the posts, including this one, I an unable to view attached images.
Maybe, one of the coordinators will read this and give me some advice on how to resolve this issue.
@ Clasico:
Without viewing any images, my take is if the car's body is in good condition, the mechanical stuff is pretty simple to repair. Lots of good info on this forum on how to go about most of the repairs required on these cars.
Happy New Year to all.

I can’t see any pictures either.
Regarding the car, I agree with others that it’s best to buy the best example you can find. Pay extra to get a really good one. I paid a lot for my ‘87 and I still had a lot to sort out. But now that it’s 95% done, I’m so happy with my purchase. One of the issues (there were several) was the air conditioning and heating system didn’t work. It was quite the challenge and expense to get it working. Lots of patience required on my part! But now when I look at that red work of art sitting in my garage, I get the biggest smile on my face. I’m smitten. Prepare to fall in love. :-)
I hadn’t driven a Series III in years and had forgotten how they drove. Wow. It will be very different than your X300 and XK. But different in a good way and you will love it. They weigh a lot and you’re constantly reminded of that wonderful heaviness as you’re driving and not really feeling the bumps in the road. It is amazing. They ride much better than newer cars do and it’s fantastic. Yes, they don’t handle like newer cars but you feel like you’re driving a car that was made for royalty. You’ll feel special. You’ll feel spoiled.
Yes, they are underpowered, they idle like crap, and the gas mileage sucks (though they don’t need premium fuel). You may want to pull your hair out until whatever initial problems you have are resolved. But the members on this forum will help and it’s all worth it. Go buy it!

Jag > XJ6 > no rust = I doubt it. You just havent found it yet
Yes you will spend lotso Euros , keeping it alive and keeping it nice, butt you know that really.
Cooling systems seem to be a major weak point (no direct experience as I am lumped, just from watching the passing parade going through my club)
Rust primarily around the front and read windows (Spain has a similar climate to Oztraylia) . Have a peak under the rubbers , I will be surprised if there wasnt a little there. I got mine done pre bubbling and it look bad but was just surface stuff. I think now the car will last longer than me in our climate. If it comes from further north in Europe I would have a very good look at it before taking the plunge.
Other things? well sure they will happen, thats why this forum is here and you have access to some very knowledgable individuals and people sharing the experience.

Thanks a lot for all your advice, i’m getting torn towards purchase the cat!!!
The owner told me there was some bubling in the front windshield but it was from some reaction to superficial rust killer aplied some 10 years ago. He has also replaced front and rear rotors an pads recently as well as radiator.
only blemishes are front wing large ding with no paint damage and the passanger lock which is like is being press into the door with a hammer!!!
i’ll check heater and air conditioner
Here she is again
