Default Propshaft rattle

Dears:

Has this happened to anyone that the propshaft on your XJ S3 is dried out inside (Some kind of polyurethane filling) thus creating a clinging rattle under load?

I've heard of driveshaft fillings coming loose but never experienced it.

Some driveshafts are actually multi-tube, with short sections of inside tube at the ends of the shaft, bonded to the outer tube. If the rubber were to delaminate I can see how a noise would develop. I've not heard of any fix other than replacing the shaft but I'm a millions miles away from being an authority on the subject.

Let's hear what others have to say.

Cheers
DD
