Replacing Throttle Cable

yes, maybe you don't need to replace the cable at all, look closely at the throttle pedal inside the car, and look at the throttle connection at the engine, it is binding in either of those two places, and with a little observation you can find out what is causing the binding. I had a similar symptom in my '84 probably 15 years ago, I figured the binding was at the pedal connection, I fixed it and it has never gotten stuck again. Then you end up with an unused spare throttle cable in the trunk.

Here's a little tip....
When installing the the new cable...it's pretty long....don't let it flop over the battery. If it touches both battery posts your new cable suddenly becomes worthless.
Not....um...er...not that I ever made that mistake. It's just something I....um...well....just something I heard about from another guy :-)
Cheers
