Default Reseating Rear Window

Popped the rear window back in, unlike the front it went into place quickly but never 'popped' into location the way the front window did.
what i mean here is that the positioning of the front window has been secure but kind of floppy and loose, then a push or a wiggle had it pop firmly into correct position and it was firm. rear window has not hit that spot and sit feels secure but shifty. any hints?

not popped

Do you have the chrome strips and or stiffeners yet to install? That should do it. I believe by the workshop manual that the chrome strips were supposed to be installed after the rubber was fitted to the glass, then install chrome strips, Then install whole unit to opening with adhesive in the track. At least that is how you do a Series 3.
