Runs great when cold Stalls when hot
Hi, every one
So here is my problem, i have a 1985 jaguar xj6 vanden plas and for a while now i have been having a stalling problem. When its cold or first start of the day it runs great but when i get it around 25 miles it stalls at a red light or when i go below certain rpms.
I have already changed the air and fuel filter. Then changed the coil, distributor, throttle position sensor, o2 sensor. cleaned the MAF. Changed all spark plugs and cleaned all injectors.
I am just truly lost and i can't find any solutions, and need some help. So any solutions please say something

After stalling will it restart easily? If not, have you determined if you have consistant, strong spark while it is in "no start" mode?
The ignition module (AC Delco D1906) is known for giving trouble only after driving 30-45-60 minutes (but behaving perfectly well right up until that point).
After a cool-down period all's well....until the next heat failure.
Cheers

its very finicky when it comes to starting back up. some times right away, other times very hard, and some times stall as soon as i put it in gear
and is the ignition module the same as the ignition switch?
cause i replaced the switch already

The ignition module is inside the ignition amplifier. The amplifier is the sqaure-ish metal device bolted to the front of the intake manifold. It's an easy task to remove the amp, open it up and replace the module. You'll need some tiny sockets, though.
Asd guesses go replacing the module isn't a bad choice.
Google AC Delco D1906 module to see what it looks like
Cheers
