If you havent already been there you might enjoy reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. It can be frustrating and even annoying at times but there are many gems in there about the whole topic of Quality. What is it, how do you define it, how can you recognise it etc.

Perhaps....at least partially....because very few customers care about receiving or paying for high quality....or even know it when they see it

Most people that I've met dont know SH#@ about quality. They look at "I had a problem and now it doesn't" . 30 days/1 year later is of no concern.

Point taken. Especially the Willing To Pay For It part. I deal with that all the time and it sort of Torques me Off!

Default Quality and Cheap do not belong together

Since there are few places in So Cal to have Jags fixed that are "older" you have to do it yourself...

This causes time to be spent looking for parts, R&R of the parts, learning new skills most of the time... but it is a "hobby" to me and I end up with my car
running because I spent the energy, money and time.

Love the saying below the photo of Nix: Sums it all up.... so VERY TRUE.

Xj6 Series II, Nix:

Swiftly Becoming The Most Voracious
BLACK HOLE in Jaguar History;
Vacuuming Up Any and All Time & Money
Whether Spare or Not
