S1 from electric windows to manual?

Hi - Based on the parts manual, the only differentiation between manual and electric regulators is the regulator itself. There is no different window, track or anything else specified except a stiffener to keep the powerful electric motor from bending the inner door.
Being in the US I've never worked on a S1 with manual window regulators - more of our cars have electric versions - but I've seen alot of electric regulators and they mount the same way as the manual with the same hardware. It appears to be a direct swap.
Also just FYI the electric motors are GM parts. If you need motors Cadillacs, Buicks, Pontiacs etc... of the S1 era use the exact same motor. I used to own ALOT of late 60's and early 70's Caddys and have a pile of Caddy motors lying around. Just replaced the passenger side front of one of my 72 XJ6's with one.

Thank you for the feedback, Mike. Yes, I also checked the parts manual and was quite happy. Then, looking around the web seems that the thing is not so straightforward as I hoped, although the logic is with us. Hope that someone has seen both manual and electric doors or made the conversion in a way or another may give a direct opinion...

Good and bad news.
The bad - I was unable to take any meaningful photos.
The good - just for fun I swapped the manual winder for the electric motor. Fairly straightforward and took about 20 minutes.
Just beware, if you remove the motor from the mechanism in the door, it is spring loaded. Watch your fingers.
