Hi Grant, do you read every thread on here? I thought as much, from what I could see on google images the only difference is the number plate light.
Might be able to get one from Vic, all depends on the postage cost.
Back to carby's for a second. It took me 2 days to find out what thread(4 BA) the idle screws were and source some lock nuts and new screws. Actually pretty cool to jump on the phone(wall mounted of course) then run around town for half the day to find what you want. Just like pre internet days, you meet all kinds doing that.
PS. Never heard of British Association before, then again I have had either my Grandfathers or my Fathers stockpile of bits to scrounge on previous cars.
Cheers, Clarke

HA, I read most, while sampling of the "Nectar of the Gods".
Some funny, strange, even ODD posts at times.
Quite funny when I remember some of these owners have NO IDEA of Pre Internet communication methods, or Pre "cell/mobile" phones, and the amount of "actual work" it took to get spare parts and maintain the older Jags.
That is why I throw away NOTHING, and that helped today when an OLD Peugeot 504 Diesel (rare in any country, especially here) that "failed to proceed", as versus "broken down". Throttle arm of the Roto Diesel pump fell off, and was nowhere to be found, so I modified a V12 carby arm to fit (on the side of the road at 4AM, 150km from my home), and followed him home. It was still intact so it will stay as is, RELIABILITY Jaguar style HAHAHA.
That postage will cost ya a motza I reckon. Cheaper to drive the Jag down there and fit it and drive home, mmm.

Yep,postage will be around $70 for a courier. But it sold anyway before I got back to it,no rush. Will eventually find one on a local wreck or a car for sale,I'll just offer cash for it before they sell their car. Never know your luck.
I did want to tow a 70's bike on a 70's trailer behind a 70's jag to a track day next weekend.

Fitting bar
Hi,
Going by this pic I have of a towbar on a series 2,it looks like it is bolted through the panel under the bumper, doe's the bottom of the bar bolt to something solid near where the plug is fitted?
If not I would reconsider drilling holes in my car just to tow bikes to the track. I have a perfectly good 4x4 to tow with.
