you have a couple issues.
1. Jaguar PCD isn't 5x 114.3 & you will have a hell of a time finding wheel that look cool & are affordable

2. the hub bore is slightly larger than most Japanese/ Euro wheel manufacturers allow for.
We just made 1" wheel spacers for the front & removed the rear spindles/ hub assembly & turned it down on a lathe.

In my opinion the old mercs lend themselves to being lowered due to their shape I had an old '69 sel which was airbagged on 100 spokes not sure if I'd fancy the same look on my xjc but its all personal preference I'd
ideally like offset deep dish wheels but are quite difficult to find due to the offset/pcd/bore.

Don't get discouraged.
With modern air ride technology, you can have a car ride as low as the one you posted & still have amazing ride quality.
Most people that are posting discouraging comments, come from a different era of modifying cars & aren't totally up to date with modern tech.
I come from the track side of things, so I approach the stance scene with a slightly different view. (it can be done, but it involves a lot of work & because I'm not a fan of air bags, I know comfort will be out the window.)
Are you wanting to be on air bags, or static?

Wow, those pipes look very hotrod. I think the Jag Purists might send "The Wolf" to come take care of you. I'm surprised none of them chimed in with criticism yet and their silence has me worried for you. Watch your back...Lumping a Jag is one thing but pipes sticking out the hood...that's a whole other league.

The are standard chevy wheels with baby moon style hub caps which are common on vintage hot rods. I know the owner of that car and met him personally so this info is from a primary source. Google baby moon hub caps and you can find them.

I'm wanting to build a custom S3 as well, but I haven't gotten to the suspension and ride height yet (mine is mostly in the hypothetical stage).
My target though is to imitate the Arden XJ
The stuff under the hood would be difficult to duplicate, but the look would be less so.

Normal I loath black wheels, but on a white car I'm a fan. I haven't seen an Series 1, 2, or 3 with black wheels unless they had steelies and the hubcaps came off.
I have a lowered X350 that is black and also has black wheels and that's a bit much, but contrasting wheel with the car? That's lovely.

I have a X300 on V2 Airlift kit. It cost me $4000 USD but I love it ! Here's a picture.

I was not aware that air bags translated into a hard ride.
Over the road diesel tractors now use them in lieu of the old hard steel springs. Onoy on the front axles, I think.
My son was over a few weeks ago to remove the derelict dune buggy from my drive. He brought his car trailer. He built it from scratch. Mostly in alloy. Two axles. Each on bags, and each with a shock absorber. An on board compressor amongst a lot of stuff. Deflate the bags, easy access to load. Air up the bags, traiier goes to road heighth. Electric winch to pull the load on and partly secure it. Enclose fron houses welder, generator compressor, jacks, straps, and a lot more.
Very attractivce in shiny alloy and icy white.

Looking Cool ???
Every time I see this nonsense it reminds me of the those kids with their pants down around their knees - and they think they are "cool"... No brains - but cool..
And what is with that pile of iron with the trashed interior (veneer all peeling etc..? Just another example of total confusion ? ) .. maybe add some skinny bicycle tires all around to really get the " knock kneed" look....
Its my opinion, but this is childish stuff - easy to do, requiring no mechanical skill... When I see the bad decisions like this I wonder if the owner also has a degree in suspension engineering, (stressed wheel bearings / spindles / ball joints?? Ackerman effect considerations? - don't worry about it...) . Are we waiting for him and his wonderful pavement dragger to snap / break / come apart in some high speed curve with an innocent person coming the other way ? Looks ridiculous and is plain damn stupid...my 20 cents...So much more to these cars and " trying to look cool" is so infantile and laughable. I call this the " I am bogus look..." These cars have been designed by Jaguar stylists and then redesigned by an Italian design/style studio and then some nitwit with more money than brains decides to restyle the car again by messing with the wheels and ride height. If this is what it takes to look cool,,,,there are probably more important personal issues that will need attention,..ie the irrational need for social acceptance among peers - the Facebook set...Doing these type of mods then driving the car on public roads is irresponsible to other drivers who really do not care if you need to be seen as " looking cool." or not.. Mods such as these should be inspected by state highway safety people.before being allowed on public roads. Falling into this category are the guys with zero experience working on M/C and brake systems, getting their "experience" from a Haynes manual., then test driving it on public roads.

No safety inspections in our state. Might be a better swap. Out with the diminished return Smog shops, In with safety checks.
But, do we have the qualified folks to do it, or merely opinionated folks. Stock safe, anything else suspicious.
One rule we do have albeit, enforcement is weak is the "below the tire" rules. In the event of a tire failure no metal hits the road. suspension exhaust, etc.
Common sense might be a test...
When I built my roadster, I changed a lot. It was much lower than the way Henry built it. But, conditions are much different. Every change I made to lower the car was safe....
Never did get the pants thing!!!
But, many decades ago,. an uncle came to visit us. Brother and I were enthralled with our new pants and ready to brag. Unc concerned. Not zoot pants,!!!!!
No, unc scarce and hard to get new jeans, the real Levi's. he greatly relieved. But, he should have known Dad would have never allowed us in Zoot pants!!!
My imagination is too limited for an image of Dad's view on size 50's!!!
