RRRRR, almost three years since I bought the book, and two and a half since the engine was pulled. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
1) Diff on the floor, and yes it does and will roll off the jack. Just breathe on it.
2)Powdered and then some.
3)More powder to ya! Two tone e-brakes. Gold to simulate cad.
4) That's the brakes. The second one always goes together faster than the first.
5)Kobe bearings, not beef.
6)"Dimples on yer jaw" - John Lee Hooker. Dimples and groves and aggressive pads, trying to avoid needing a chute - HA!
7)Learning to safety wire.
8)Transformer.
9)With the tie plate installed.

consider this...
Looks so nice...If I remember correctly you are running a BBC....With all that Motor and the need for larger rear tires you may want to consider the larger outboard brakes that can be retrofitted from an xj40 or x300. The later cars have larger vented rear rotors. The thin 10in non vented inboard rotors and smallish calipers don't do much and are basically just along for the ride. You'll quickly over heat them, glaze the pads and render them even less effective.

icamerica,
Pads are EBC Red Stuff with EBC rotors. Calipers are rebuilds.
Old rotors were paper thin and greasy. Fade was a HUGE problem, as the only thing new was the front rotors and semi metalics. I do not have any experience with the EBC products. Purchased with the idea that the product recap "Reads Well". The intent of the car is a cruiser, with an occasional pass down the 1/8th and 1/4 mile. If I still experienced fade I was going to move the fronts to Red Stuff. Don't get me wrong I will flog this car and will find the braking limits.
As most know, these projects are not for the faint of wallet or heart. My friend always says "make it look good for the pictures". That said, this one needs to be on the street this coming spring. A Mark 2 is moving in the project spot next.
Graham,
Thanks for the edit!
