Trying to repair door mirror
Sorry for dupe thread but hoping title will catch someone's attention. Outside door, drivers side 1985 Vanden Plas Series 3 glass seems to be loose from up/down axis. Would think you should be able to take apart to attempt repair. Removed 2 Phillips screws behind glass on bottom and can pull plastic out but top won't release and can't see any other screws.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

just get a replacement mirror, not worth the trouble.
to access the pivots you need to slowly pry the mirror glass off its plastic frame, it is glued with a very sticky tape. Chances are the glass will break when prying, if not the plastic frame. Try to slide a .009 gauge guitar E string under the mirror glass and use it as a "saw" to slice through the tape.
