Turn signal and Reverse light issue
#1

Hi,
Looking for some tips. These are separate issues.
First issue:
Left Turn signal works fine, both bulbs flash. Right Turn signal does not flash, both bulbs are always on when turn switch is activated.
Hazard lights also not working.
Have replaced both right hand side bulbs and problem persists. Could this be the flasher unit?
Second issue:
Reverse lights not working.
Have replaced bulbs and checked the corresponding fuse, to no avail.
Could this have to do with the switch near the gear selector? Where is this switch anyway? Dismantled the mid console but could not see anything.
Car is an XJ6 Series 1
Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Just figured where the reverse light switch is and apparently it's stuck in the off position. However, I can't fit an adjustable wrench in that slim space.
Does anyone know what wrench size fits the switch, since I'll have to buy one?
>> Nevermind, it's a 27mm spanner.

the turn signal problem could be the stalk switch.
I am not familiar with the Series 1 turn signal switch but in the Series 3, they can be opened up and refurbished.
can't be the Flasher Relay since the Emergency Flashers work fine. Unless the Series 1 has separate relays for turn signals and emergency flashers. The Series 3 has 1 relay only for both.

Thanks for the suggestion Jose.
My mistake. Just checked the Hazard lights and it's not working. So no hazard warning, no blinking right hand turn signal (constant) but perfectly working left hand turn signal (intermittent).
The manual mentions a hazard warning unit and a flash unit so I guess it has two relays, one for each operation.
Could the stalk switch affect the flashing on one side but allow those bulbs to stay lit up?
Or could the hazard unit affect the operation of the turn signal for one direction only? Being separate units, I suppose it should not affect at all.
At this point, I'm not sure which unit is faulty, if any, if both.
