Cool Where can I find wiring code for speakers

Hi I'm new to this Forum, and I was looking through past threads hoping that someone has come across this as well. I want to upgrade my stero to a Sony MPS that was givin to me by a friend. I searched my repair manual and looked on Alldata.com but I can not find a wiring diagram for the speakers. Can anyone help me with this ?

Are you trying to figure out which wire is which speaker? The wires with a stripe on them are the negative terminal.

Easy way to check which pair of wire is which speaker, use a 9V battery, touch the wires to the terminals, the speaker will pop, you will then know which speaker wires you are holding.

Cool

Thanks Dave2......you hit the nail on the head. I did kind of figure out which was the negative. That nine volt battery trick is the bomb. Thank you
