Where were LHD 1985 XJ6 Sovereigns sold ?

Well, guess the old saying "be careful what you wish for, you might get it" needs to be modified to "what you bid on" !
I bumped the bid once and got the car for $4500, was NOT expecting that to happen after being out bid ( $ 5000+ ) on a 85000+ mile, repainted in need of TLC but low rust, non-running copart auction car ( semi-local though ).
After I get it shipped I'll have to do a post on all the differences / modifications it has had compared to a US car. Anybody road tripping from OK to NC next week with an empty car trailer ? Guess I'll be using Ebay's UShip partner to hire a transporter which quoted around 900 plus a fee. Given that the car has been sitting, I don't think I want to roll the dice on a 1000 mile road trip without a THROUGH maintenance. Doing it my self would cost at least half that anyway plus that's ALOT of driving there and back, 16 hours each way -- I'll pass this time.
Thanks again for all the comments, hope it looks as good in person !!!
Cheers,
Brian
Think I'll have to update my Sig to "Cats breeding like Tribbles"
This will make 4 !!! "Feral Kitty" plus two parts cars, now "Euro Kat"

Hello Kudzu, I am the retired Master Jaguar mechanic that flew from Sarasota, Florida to review the vehicle in Tulsa, Ok. You have got to ask your self, Why were sixty people watching this vehicle but only three bid? Why did I fly to Tulsa, Ok, at cost of $1,000.00, Airline, Rental car and Hotel. Then choose not to bid after making that investment, Putting myself into a short term loss after seeing up close the long term loss. The phrase is caveat emptor, Buyer Beware. Let me know what I can do to help you next time you bid on a vehicle without inspecting it first.
Thank you.
