Default Widest tire i can fit?

Hi there!

quick question, what is the widest tire i can fit on the car? the back has about a 2 inch fender flare and the front is stock. the rims have an offset of +20 and -6 front and rear and are 15x7 all around. I was thinking of a 235/60/15 in the front and a 245/60/15 rear? would that theoretically work?

I can tell you that I've run a 315/30/18 Goodyear on the back of my car, but they will curiously rub the inside sidewall when the suspension compresses. Although on a smooth curvy road the holding and ride was phenomenal.

A tire with an 11.5 inch section with on a sedan? No surprise it rubs.

In all fairness the question asked the widest tire one could run. Assuming the roads one runs on aren't terrible those tires were not hard to run. It took quite the jolt to make them rub. If they fixed the roads here in Indiana I would run them again.

A wider tires needs a wider rim and with a 7 inch rim i'd run nothing more than a 225. If the rim is too narrow for the tire it creates un-predicible and loose handling. So the question should be...Whats the widest tire I can run with a 7 inch rim.
