Ever check "rubbing alcohol". Not much methanol, mostly water !!!!
Side bar. Circa 1948, I was using my "hoted" T roadster to go to TWC across the mountain in El Paso. Alas, one AM, not enough gas in the tank to get the two blocks to the gas station. Desperate. No booze in mom's house to Dad's chagrin, I'm sure. But, a new bottle of rubbing alcohol. I poured it in the T's tank. Amazingly, it fired up. Stumbling snd coughing it got me to then gas station. Two bucks got me about 8 gallons of regular. Ran like a top and off across Mt. Franklin on Scenic Drive to class. On time....
I thin k there might yet be a bottle in the medicine cabinet here. Dear departed had back issues. Lots of stuff for that still there, including "Tiger Balm".
