Wiper problems
Hello everyone. I've got a '74 XJ6. I've had it for about a year now and haven't been able to figure this out on my own. For whatever reason the windshield wipers do not stay on. If I hold the switch on the steering column up the wipers do run. As soon as I let go of the switch the wipers return to the bottom of the windshield and stay there. I had a similar issue with the headlights when I first got the car and I quickly traced it to the dimmer switch relay (The PO wired it wrong.) I suspect the problem with the wipers is similar. Does anyone know where the wiper motor relay is located on this car? My other car is in the process of an engine swap at the moment so this makes it really annoying to drive the Jag in the rain. Thanks.

Here are the instructions from my Haynes manual on how to remove the relay (so I guess this is where it would be):
Windscreen wiper motor relay:
To reach the relay, first remove the dash casing from the passenger side.
Release the relay securing clip and pull it from its connector block.
Not sure if this helps.
