Wires and Screws

Wires and Screws
There are three wires out of the boot hinge area to the boot lid and they are red, black and yellow-green. fairly sure black is neutral while one of the other two is power to the lights on the rear of the boot and the other for the small interior boot light on the underside of the boot. no power currently, any easy reminders which is which? no longer have the interior light so only need to connect two.
ALSO
The eight screws (four each side) that fasten the petrol tank chrome caps in place have gone astray after a long period off the car. After going though a huge pile of 'candidate' screws I found only ONE which screwed effortlessly into the screw holes at the tank mouth. Arghh. End to end the screw is about 2.3cm in length a posi or phillips head with a flat tip. Had hoped if I could find at least two then I could breed them, but just uno.
Could someone tell me the exact description for ordering more of these critters?

Regarding the screws. I always take them to a large hardware store and look through the rack until I find one that matches. I then try to find them in stainless steel. In the U.S. you wont find Pozidrive in a hardware store but Phillips will do.
Another path is to Contact David at Everydayxj.com He can pull them off salvage cars for you.
Regarding the wires; do you have a copy of S57 wiring diagrams? It's a whole book that shows the wire color and circuit path to each component. Free download, if you need it I'll have to dig out the link.
