I don't know if you appreciate just how really special your car is. You may want to reconsider doing an engine swap with an XJ12C.
You will be money ahead selling this "special interest" car to an interested party and buying the car you really want. My guess is that the right buyer will pay for shipment out of Thiland.

You will have the first xjc in the history of conversions if you switch to a Japanese engine. You will probably not find any resources on this topic. Check out www.jaguarspecialties.com to see some of the conversions done to jags. I would try to fix the original engine if at all possible, the v12s drive silky smooth when working properly.

A good 12 is perfectly viable, I have until recently run one as a daily driver including morning rush hour crawl. About 15.000 miles anually. Only stopped once due to dealer installed alarm going bad. Spend some money to make ut run properly, car will keep its value and will be a great pleasure to run. Less expensive than a conversion I'd guess.

odd how hindsite is better than foresite.
last year bought a 1975XJ12C, good price , well had lot of rust so sold it quick.
then i find that it was very rare ,V12 engine ,with a 4speed MANUAL transmission, coupe .
sold it in three days ,sight unseen, for 4 times more than what i paid.
ya just never know what you got untill its gone

The biggest market at this time for these coupes is Europe. I have tracked some recent sales in German and France; they are going in the 30,000 to 40,000 Euro price range. I think taking this cars engine out would be a terrible mistake for those who appreciate the beauty and character of the V12 engine - there are probably less than 300 of these cars running in the entire world.
