All the stud hole sizings and spacings are identical, on all the XK engines, regardless of size. it is the half-moon holes at the back end which will need blocking off in some way.
The cylinder head has corresponding half-moon holes because of the need to line-bore the camshaft bearing houses. I think you can get plugs to fill these holes, as one has to be filled, the other houses the rev-counter dynamo.

It is straight forward just leave the outside as is cosmetically by blocking and isolating everything internally
