Hi all, I've just started to resurrect my stalled restoration project...its been sat since 1992!...I'm just thinking ahead... is it UNC/UNF or BSW/BSF threads on the car?

Generally speaking, everything is UNF. The exceptions are where a stud will go into aluminum, such as intake and exhaust manifold studs into the head, those are UNC. The upper timing chain adjuster nut on the engine is BSW, and if you have SU carbs those will all be BA sized fasteners.

I bought one of these years ago and found it very useful

Around the time of your car and into the Series 3, changes were made to the braking system fittings on the brake line connections. I remember reading a warning about the conversion to metric threads and diameters, even though the brake lines themselves remained at 3/16".

greetings and Merry Christmas.
I bought one of these several years ago and its been a life saver.

Amazon Amazon
Solves the mystery of is it metric or imperial.
Also great for those rainy days and you look in the 20 year bin and decide its time to sort out all this "stuff"
