Default XJ6 S2, ZS to HS2 conversion

Converting my dad’s ‘75 XJ6 to HS8’s. Found them in a box of old 175CDSE auto chokes, so he had the right idea, but likely couldn’t find a tech on the Maryland Eastern Shore to figure it out.
My question: the HS8’s are manual choke, from a 2000TC. There’s a rebuild kit with new jet tubes, with numbers that match Rover HS8’s from that era. Should I rebuild them with the 2000TC kit and see if/how the XJ runs? The jet specs are .90 vs. .100 for a UK market XJ.
Any guidance on how to proceed is appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Burlen lists a kit with jets and shows a ‘73 using BCC needles. I’ll try to find them in the US, hopefully from a specialist or maybe a Harley shop!
