I'm new here and struggling, flailing actually. Can't get my car to start on anything but starter fluid for a few seconds. My 79 is fuel injected. I just got it and its been sitting for years. So far I replaced the starter and the relay. I checked a fuse that was near the relay. It was fine. On the chance there was a fuse in the box under the dash that controlled the pump I checked there too. The previous owner left the wires to the pump disconnect. He also had the fuel tank change over valve disconnected. And that thing got very hot yesterday when I was trying to reconnect it. I dont have a factory manual and the manual I do have is just flat out wrong. For example, it said my filter was near my spare tire. It was in the engine compartment. I am going to check this inertia switch tonight after work. I wish I had more info about these oil sensors. I noticed a loose, black wire just sitting in the rear of the engine bay. It looks like it connects to the relay next to the fuel pump relay. But it is not very long and still I can not see where the other end connects. Maybe to the one of these oil sensors?
