‘86 XJS Windshield Locking Seal
I have been searching for a place to get a new locking seal since I’m doing a complete tear down for paint and have seen multiple different versions but have no idea which one is correct.
I have a part number; BD48847, but as I said I’m unsure, as it looks to be different than what I have already.

You have both the gasket and the locking strip right? The gasket hold the glass in the body opening, and the locking strip applies pressure to keep it in place. You'll also need some sealant. Be careful removing the trim, its easily twisted and very hard to fix.
The gasket is BDC7178 and the locking strip is BD48847.
