Default 17x8.5 wheels

Seen a lot of posts bout 8" wide wheels and read SpyHunter's great thread about offsets.

I'm looking at a set of ARC AR01 wheels with the following specs:

8.5 wide
+35 offset

With 245/50 tires (which very nearly preserves stock overall diameter), I believe the rear will clear the inner fender liner.

The front is what concerns me while reading up on the subject. SpyHunter states at 8 inches, +25 is about perfect in the front. Is 8.5 flat out impossible then? I would only go 225 with the front tires, which should help.

Other option is some Petrol P4C's at 17X8, also +35 offset. Rear should clear just fine and the fronts would need a spacer. But I much prefer the looks of the AR01's.

Thanks

Check one of the online calculators.

i had 17x8 et20 245/45R17 and it was very close at fender lip.

if your proposed size extends any further than what I ran, expect rubbing when suspension compresses.

How close was the inside of the front wheels to the suspension? I ran yours and mine through a calculator, and mine would be about 20 mm closer to the suspension. That said, I would also have about 8 mm of outward spacing to play with if I needed to.

Im thinking you may have clearance issues at the tie rod. Looks like you will be good at the rear fender lip.

i run 17x8 et28 now, will check clearance at tie rod when i get home later this week(travelling for work).
