Clarke,
Its been years since I delved into the Goose.
BUT
I seem to remember the cruise was inop with the owner before Trevor, who Paul got it from??
Can you send me a snap of the console, as something is bouncing around the head of an extra switch to the left of the gear lever for the Efan over ride, and the cruise switch was actually reused for the A/C cut out/bypass. I THINK.

I don't like paying the man, but freinds from Canada are using her for 3 or 4 weeks over Christmas to trip around and they will need the air con.
Does 15-19L / 100km seem right to you or should I be looking into that ?

Clarke,
BUGGA on the $$ out coz you cant do it. Hate that also.
That fuel is probably close for the short trips etc. I would expect 12ish, for a sustained long steady run.
Mine was 15+ around the 'burbs, and low 11 on Interstate under cruise.
It might be worth "tickling" the timing. Maybe a few more degrees will be possible.
Also check the vac advance capsule (mongrel to get out) is still ok. It was new about 10+ years ago.
Have a read of the attached while you consume your medicine.
I ASSUME that the NO lifting does NOT apply to the beer??
