Default 1988 Hess & Eisenhardt

I bought a 1988 (I originally thought it was a 1986) H&E XJS a couple weeks ago to be a parts car for my '87 XJS coupe. The car will delivered to my house in late July.

The car is mostly all there (minus a steering column and rear speakers) but is rough from sitting for quite a while. I don't know exactly but guessing at least 10 years.
Along with the car I also got a set of 4 of the wire spoke wheels (can't remember who made them). The car does have the lattice wheels on it now and a starfish for the spare in the trunk. I suspect that except for some paint bubbling behind the doors that a good cleaning will make it look not quite so rough. Car is pale yellow with blue top and interior.

My interest in the car was for the motor. Always wanted a spare to take apart for some strange reason.

Question: Is there any market for the H&E bodies? There are two 89-90 XJS convertibles that have been for sale in my town for a long time so I suspect not. If someone wanted it I might just take the engine and leave the rest or if I can find another engine make a deal for the whole car. Thoughts? Opinions?

Would the wire wheels be Dayton 16" wheels by any chance?

15's or 16's. Not sure off the top of my head. I have a set of 15' already on my car. Limited tire selection for that size anymore.

Well I take it by the lack of responses that the interest level in the H&E cars is pretty low. Kirby's Book indicates/infers that many were shipped off to Brazil to avoid lawsuits in the US. Hmmm...

Assuming I do take the car apart look for You Tube videos to document the process and hopefully visually assist future repair/replacement projects.
