1990 Window Lift Switches
Replacement Window Lift Switches DAC7526 and DAC7527 seem to be made with too soft a plastic for the switch housing that lets the rocker come loose. Does anyone make a switch more like the original switches that will stay together for more than a few weeks? Every time I replace one, the rocker comes loose at one side or the other.

Are you buying them from Jaguar, or the Uro brand? The difference is Jaguar has a metal retaining clip, the Uro is plastic. Uro is junk, and I've not had trouble with the original Jaguar switches. There is a reason they cost more...

Side by Side switch comparison
New switches arrived early last week. Here is a photo of the OEM switch made by TRW on the right and the aftermarket switch on the left. The TRW switch has metal clips to hold it in place, whereas the aftermarket switches that do not last have a plastic clip. It was $140 (shipping included) for a pair of the switches. The OEM 7526 showing the window picture facing the opposite way were not available, so I bought two with the symbol facing the same way.
