Default 1990 XJS Convertible Warning Light Order/LineUp...

Good Morning folks - or Good what ever time of day it is, in your neck of the woods...

I've searched a bit and am not having much luck...

I got this 1990 Convertible out of a yard where it had been sitting for a good spell. More than 10 yrs. The "original" dash console was toast (h20 + ribbon), so I replaced it. The second one (eBay) was nothing usable either... Got a third. Still having problems.

Honestly, I don't know if the cluster that was in the car when I got it was even the original... Which is why I must ask...

Q: Does or can someone with a US Market 1990 XJS or close,,, or even in a market that has similar dummy lights PLEASE send me a detail of the order of the warning indicators on the dash? Mostly the TOP row as, from what I can tell, the lower second row SEEMS similar if not the same from cluster to cluster around the same years.

This will help me sleep better at night, lol... I have 3 lights in the dash GLOWING now - seat belt, windshield wash level low and ABS... Thing is, I don't know if the lit bulb and the message correspond - if ya know what I mean?

Any help would be super greatly appreciated...

Re-reading your question again - probably not
Also found this one as well (I think from Doug or Grant or Greg) - but doesn't mention antilock light, so probably not either

Cheers Steve. And many many thanks...

I'm looking but, as can be the case, such can cause even more confusion. Great diagram! For sure, but then, there's Jaguar!

Looking at my own dash it seems to (mostly) line up right with the HE top line, but then I have symbols for dummy lights that don't correspond. In the earliest days working on this machine I swear I saw a light for the O2 sensor, and have read about a light in other posts. I don't see that light demarcated in the diagram NOR on my dash today. Remembering I have been thru 3 consoles to date.

Also, the ABS light. On my car now, the ABS light (if the illuminated light even corresponds with the symbol in that position) is illuminated. I don't see ABS (((or the term used on my cluster - see photo))) indicated in the diagram provided... Crazy...

Then, comparing the diagram (believing that the upper HE diagram IS what I should be referencing) to my actual,,, I have anti-lock above and to the left of "water" (see photo) where the diagram predicts "volts" where anti-lock should be.

Now,,, to be honest,,, I've never scored terribly well on standardized logic tests,,, but this is getting a bit boggling. I'm admitting it could be me thats missing and confusing variables and variations,,, but - am I missing something, lol?

HEEEEELP... Omgoodness the XJS!!!

Default Anyone with a 1990?

Maybe this would be better - and help me sleep at night, lol??

Is there anyone out there with a 1990 that can tell me which dummy lights correspond with the lights I have from the photos above...?

Another thing,,, to test, I completely disconnected all plugs going to my braking set up on the LH side near the firewall... The master. Nothing lit up (or went out) as far as dummy lights are concerned... Crazy...

The second row Warning lights are:
