Default 1993 Jaguar XJS Auto 4.0

Hey y’all. Recently bought a 1993 Jaguar XJS as a project car. This weekend I’m going to try and replace all the wheel bearings and check on the hubs. The hub parts I just got don’t come separated (hub/hub carrier) so I can’t even inspect the wheel bearings of the purchased parts. Does anyone have any tips/tricks for separating the rear hub from the hub carrier without a hydraulic press? Thanks, any help is much appreciated

Also having issues with putting the entire rear hub assembly on the access. The axle just won’t slide in the hub. Any tips/tricks as well?
