1993 Jaguar XJS A/C Vents
Alright, I am getting through all of issues on my XJS. Question on the very far vents on the passenger and drivers side. My center vent puts out tons of air, but the vents on either side barely move anything.
Is this normal, or should I go digging to find an issue?
To be clear, both side vents are quite weak, so it makes me think there is likely not a problem. I have checked both fans and they work perfectly. The compressor is charged with R12 and it blows cold, but it would be nice to have these vents blow more for the uber hot days we have in Atlanta.
Thank you!

There's an on/off thumbwheel on one end of each of the two vents. They can stick sometimes, and be hard to open or close. Check that first, and make sure they are both fully open. Other than that and making sure the ducts to them are properly connected,, there's nothing else to check. There are no separate dampers or shut offs for them.
One thing that can help is to remove the two ducts thru the lower part of the console to the rear seat area and cap off the openings on the HVAC assembly where the ducts attach. You will get a lot more air out of the front vents after doing that. You have to remove the console ski slope, console compartment lid, and console interior tray to get the ducts out and cap off the outlets.

Pumpng cold air down at your feet where the heat from the exhaust is and hot air coming off the radiator etc exits underneath the car makes a lot of.sense to me.
I hate to have my face cold and my feet hot.
Conversely when the heater is on warm up my feet first because they tend to get cold first.
At least up here in the arctic circle ;-)
