Default 1994 XJS 4.0 Rear differential fluid weight?

I'm getting ready to change my differential fluid this weekend and see that people use 80w90 diff fluid. Is it ok to use Mobil One 75w90 synthetic instead? I have 97k miles.

I see no reason why not.

The lube guides for our markets list SAE90 as #1, and 80W90 as option #2.

Both are a GL5 spec oil.

Bear in mind that ALL our oils are LSD compatible.
