1994 XJS LED dash lights
Does anyone have a suggestion, or has done, LED bulb replacement. I can barely see the green directional lights and other lights on top of dash cluster. I have seen some responses and it required soldering and such. I was hoping there were LED bulbs available that could plug right in.

Rchuda,
Yes, they can be replaced. The bulb size is a 501 or T10 type. There are quite a few posts and threads on this here. Use the search facility with "LED" and you should find a wealth of info.
Be aware, that some LEDs are polarity-specific so they only work when oriented in one direction. Also, some people have experienced a faint illumination of certain bulbs such as the restricted performance light when the leds are replaced. Read all the threads and get informed.
This company is well-regarded in the UK. Very large range of LED products:

Paul,
what model year do you have. I believe the 94 is similar to the 96 facelift I have. Those dash indicator bulbs are some kind of NEO or B type bulb. Definitely not a t10 or 501.
I’ve not found any that fit well. I got one to fit for my emergency brake light, but I had to modify the housing and I wasn’t willing to do that 13 times, for each of the indicators.
Ive purchased mine from superbrightleds.com. They never claimed it would fit, so I have no beef with them or their products, but it doesn’t seem to fit for the facelift dashboard.

Vee,
You're right! Tks for pointing out my mistake. I believe the warning bulbs are T5 / B8.5D / 286 bulbs.
I have spoken to Gil who runs Better Car Lighting and he's very confident that their products resolve the polarity and other issues experienced by us facelift owners. See here for details of their dash kits. They also sell a lot of individual product lines such as separate bulbs. It's just a case of trying to work your way through their catalogue.

Tks again Vee,

In the He pre facelift I used these for the big clocks.
For the lights at the top, which I don't think yours has, I used these ones. I believe they are 1w, much brighter than the glass ones.
