I don't know how many were exported to the US. But ALL XJSs after VIN 221855, which is from April 1995, are called "Celebration"

Cheers

Paul

Something doesn’t seem correct?

my 96 xjs was built in December of 1995 and has a serial number of 225195. This would indicate more than 3340 total units built assuming mine wasn’t the last.

the chart indicates a total production of much less.

please let me know what I am not understanding.

Thanks

Paul,

First of all that table is by year of manufacture, not what the US refer to as Model Year.

So some of those 1995 cars are pre-Celebration and some are Celebration. All 1996 cars are Celebration.

Also, naturally you have look at the different columns for Coupes, Convertibles, 4.0 & 6.0 to get total figures.

Hope that helps

Paul
