Default 1996 XJS steering rack leak - replacement unavailable?

I have a 1996 LHD (US) XJS convertible, VIN (last 6) 226621. Steering rack is leaking like a sieve, part number on the ZF rack is a MHB3891AA which cross references to a JLM20179E. Jaguar and everywhere I’ve tried say its unavailable and no seal kits available. It’s only used on later VIN’s from VIN 179737 to 226645. The removed unit is 3 bolt with 14mm diameter tie rods. Does anyone know if an earlier rack (which is readily available) will fit, or can be made to fit? Any solutions out there? Thanks!

Somebody suggested Coventry West. I have ordered the correct ZF unit for $395 and $150 core for a rebuilt unit with a 4 day lead time. They noted that an earlier rack (Adwest) will work, but that the ZF rack is a better rack and much preferred.

I don't know if any other year will fit but if the seals are standard O rings, and not some special shaped ones, O rings are readily available by just sizing them from a walk-in supplier.

It has been mentioned here that the seals for the XK8 rack should work, Gates 348738. I have not tried it myself to verify that. I see the kit on Rockauto for under $20.
