2 white XJS movie cars for sale
I found a guy selling two white 89 XJS coupes for 4200$ for both. They were used in the movie The Last Lovers alive. Anyone have an idea what these are worth. They are not in great condition. One drives and the other has a fuel pump issue. Interiors are 4 out of 10 and one smells of mold. Also as a general question I am about 6ft 2in and it seems like I have to recline to an uncomfortable position to keep my head from hitting the ceiling. Any tall guys find these cars uncomfortable or do you get use to it.

I don't think the movie angle adds any significant value to the cars. You have 2 rough XJ-S's, one of which is a non runner.
It takes 000s to get an XJ-S interior really good, assuming you can get all the parts, so that would be a deal killer for me.
If they had been it The Saint movie, then maybe there would be something there, but.....
For the height, Im not that tall but There are fellow forum members that are getting up there and they fit in ok. Hopefully some of them will be along soon....

well if you can infiltrate (or at least find them) the Vampire sub culture in NY then you might find a buyer that will pay premium for those... I do not know if they have that kind of off branch culture in your area
they are kind of OCD and that would appeal to them.
place on Ebay with DVD copies of the movie with each car and see what shakes out, use a HIGH reserve at first.....
if you could locate the actors... even 1 principle... and have them sign the seat covers.... that would be a plus or/and offer to send the actor(s) a copy of the movie that they could sign of course with a return shipping paid mailer with it... all these thing add up at conventions to give a item more worth...
personally I would fix them up and do the above and use the money to by a good running 95 or 96 v12 and send the transmission of said v12 (a 4L80E) to TCI to have them rework it into a 6 speed... a 1996 6.0 v12 with a paddle shift 6speed automatic from TCI would be the end game... (hey, this is bench racing....or should I say bench buying)

If I had a place to keep the cars - sounds like a good deal to me. Fuel pump issue can be solved by replacing it.
There would be no limit to colorful 'Only Lovers Left Alive" stories I would tell to my passengers :-)
P.S. Just added movie to my queue...

it is generally a Dark movie, and Nior, but the interior of a JAG at night even with my top down is too dark... and WHite lighting just would not work in that Vampire movie... lots of interesting lighting and shadows in the trailer....
Just saying, could been an artistic thing. you will know when you go check out the cars....

Yeah, it was pretty low budget, and tanked, from Box Office Mojo:
Domestic Total Gross: $1,879,534
Distributor: Sony Classics Release Date: April 11, 2014
Genre: Drama Runtime: 2 hrs. 3 min.
MPAA Rating: R Production Budget: $7 million
But it did pretty well on Rotten Tomatoes (86%) and Metacritic (79%).
When it's free, I'll watch it.
