Default 200k miles and still going

Im wondering how much life the engine still has before I have to pull the head and rebuild it. Im sure the lower half will go thousands of miles, but since my valve stem seals started leaking 100k miles ago, not sure how to gauge it. Lol
thats the only issue it has had. Smokes on start ups but runs great! I drive it almost daily.

Well done.

About 500K is about the stretch, on average.

Valve stem seals can lower that, but will not kill it, just the smoke, and smell, when they get real bad.

Some XJ40 cars down here have got insane kms on them, and still thundering around daily.

The more they get used, the longer they last.

Wow! Really looking forward to it. Im afraid to stop driving it out of fear it will start to deteriorate.

YOU HAVE NAILED IT.

The more they be used the less you spend on them.

Caged Cats are a NASTY thing, our S2 XJ12 is at 654000kms, and still roars up and down the highway.

OK, it leaks oil (tappet blocks), a bit "tappety", LUVS the fuel, and its been that way for nearly 30 of our years, and I am not silly or brave enough to touch that engine, NO need.

Clean oil, clean air, clean fuel, DO NOT overheat it, it will run forever.
