+250 CFM side draft?
ok, if anyone knows of a side draft that will handle +250 CFM let me know.
im conteplating sending my manifolds off and having an adapter made to bolt a side draft in place of the factory Throttle body.
feel free to tell me how stupid this is, incase ive missed something. thank you.

A 45 DCOE would give you at least that much but would require some significant tuning. A better option might be SU's.
I've always liked SU's because they are so adaptable. The Constant Velocity design makes them easy to use because it's difficult to overcarburate. Think of your V12 as two 2.6+ liter inline sixes (because they are). The Datsun 240-260Z got by with just a pair of HS4's on that size engine.
Find two pairs from either a Z-car or an MGB. For a little more airflow, find H6's from a TR4.
The hard part will be cobbling up a linkage, but you should be able to use most of the existing stuff. I think you'll also play hell trying to keep it under the hoodline without the XKE intakes.

ive been trying like hell to find a pair of XKE manifolds. ebay, google, forums, etc with no luck. im afraid the HE manifolds will pool fuel.
Like your not the twentieth person to suggest that. the fueling system is screwed. i think thats been established.

As far as I can remember, you have yet to examine every bit of the ECU loom front to back, (involves removing RHS front wing, plus interior trim and carpets on RHS), to test the injectors, to check the loom to the resistor pack on the RHS inner wing and the pack itself, to discover why the car runs without a Coolant temp sensor when it will not if the thing is wired up correctly.
Keep at it, say I. The carb thing is a total waste of time and you will end up with a rubbish car if you go that route. By the by, fuel pooling in the intakes on carbed V12s was a major known problem for Jaguar. As much as a cupfull was known to collect after a cold start!

Probably because your car still does not run. This is not rocket science. if your engine is good. Compression is even and within spec. and leak down is low then there is no reason your car isn't running. If all adjustments are set correctly then you problem is the wiring. You just need to take Greg's advice. This has been suggested over and over but you have yet to do it fully.

that is not an HE head, and it looks a lot like the Group 44 racing ,slide throttle injection system. i seen them in person at the Daytona 24 race, 1987.
and for late comers,, one of those complete 7L engines was on Ebay about 2yrs back, and it sold for just $4500. bucks, fan to flywheel complete.

You still need to replace your AAV hose and properly set your throttle plates and linkage. Everything's got to return to the way it was from the factory, so you can start figuring out what's not.
Right now you have your idle set by holding open your throttle plates with improper adjustments. If Jaguar could have gone this route satisfactorily and avoided the costs associated with the wildly overengineered part like the AAV, don't you think they would have?
Furthermore if this were a viable option, countless V12 owners would also have gone down the same road when their AAV crapped out rather than wasting time rebuilding them or replacing them for big bucks.
