You still need to replace your AAV hose and properly set your throttle plates and linkage. Everything's got to return to the way it was from the factory, so you can start figuring out what's not.
Right now you have your idle set by holding open your throttle plates with improper adjustments. If Jaguar could have gone this route satisfactorily and avoided the costs associated with the wildly overengineered part like the AAV, don't you think they would have?
Furthermore if this were a viable option, countless V12 owners would also have gone down the same road when their AAV crapped out rather than wasting time rebuilding them or replacing them for big bucks.
