5.3L rebuild and Mods
Hi All
I am about to embark on a rebuild of my 5.3L v12, the big end is starting to get a bit rattley after 240,000km. I have already made a number of changes to the intakes, with modified inlet manafolds, throttel body and 3inch cold air intake. The plan is to have the bearings and rings replaced along with modifying the rear seal, heads cleaned up and some mild porting. And some new shiney parts. I will be doing before and after dyno results. Work can't be started for another 3-4weeks.

I get my work done by Jagdaim in Melbourne and I believe he got them from Hayward and Scott in the UK, the ceramic coating has been done in Melbourne. The original plan was to do a before and after Dyno run to see if they really make a difference. This plan has now change because I have developed a rumble on startup that is coming from the big end bearing, since the engine needs to come out I decided to give the whole thing an overhaul. Because I don't have the room or expertise, I need to wait another 3-4 weeks before the guys at Jagdaim can do it. I am still going to do a before and after dyno run just to see where the motor is, I will post the results. The last run I had on the Dyno gave 158KW at the rear wheels.

I believe they came from here. Hand-Made Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems - Hayward and Scott and cost me about $3k landed in Australia.
