Does anyone know if the resistor pack should be hot? i have never touched mine after a run, in all these years!

TPS tested fine, but it is old so i will likely end up replacing it soon


the 84 does have the Lucas double coil, i will be changing it over to the single coil also

ive got a single coil. brand new never used. $40 shipped.

Just been for a run in hot weather. Remembered to try the resistor pack for heat afterwards.

The resistor pack should NOT, repeat NOT be getting hot. It should be engine bay airflow ambient.

Therefore maybe worth changing it?

BUT...if the injectors are being told to fire randomly and with crossed signals, the resistor could be heating up so it may not necessarily be bad...correct?

hey jake21 I have a new used injector harness, injectors or if you interested
i have a complete marelli system ,microplex controller, harness , coil packs
everything if you are interested email me jtgcompany@gmail.com all these
parts are from my 89 xjs thats getting a chevy transplant, so I have alot of
parts that i installed a couple yrs ago

The water rail sensor on the B bank head fails and goes full circuit causing these symtoms, just my 2Ps worth.
