Default 85 v12 does not start after cleaning the left fuse box

This is a strange defect: I drove one of my 85 V12 XJS. Was running great and I had lots of fun - but the heating system stopped working. So I checked the main fuse box under the left side if the dashboard. Contacts were a bit rotten and the notorious melted fuse number 10 socket was also there as expected. I removed all fuses and used lots of contact cleaner to remove the dirt, replaced all fuses and tried to start the car. The relays engage - but the starter motor does not turn anymore. Is there any chance that the cleaning could have caused this? Any relays under the dashboard that might not have liked the spray hitting them? Good ideas are very welcome
