OK. All systems go. Just made a bracket to locate the kick-down switch on the throttle. Makes a huge difference. Thoroughly recommend it.
So far, the mods I've done since buying this magnificent vehicle;
1) Blanked off rear seat ducts in centre console.
2) Replaced two coils with one.
3) Relocated Ignition module to where front coil used to be.
4) Relocated kick-down switch to throttle.
5) Made a small vent to assist fuel flow at high throttle openings.
Still more to do ;-)
Rod.

Good SHORT list.
Good to hear all is moving along nicely.
I actually started the Rover P3 today, first "fire in the belly" since 2002. All of 3 rotations and up and running, smiles all round, JD flowed freely. Half an hour of running, NO leaks, oil/coolant/fuel, too good to be true, but fact.
Now to retention the head and do the tappets (copper/ asbestos head gasket), so 3 times of this required, then pat it on the bum and send it back to the owner in the bush. Took 2 years to sort, but quite happy all round.
