86 XJS Coupe DANA rear end questions
I am in the process of installing new disks and pads on the rear. The rear carrier is covered in greasy muck, looks like the drive axel seals are leaking. My shop manual has little or no information on the Dana, just a picture of it and shows 2 "o" ring seals only for the axles and just a handful of other parts in my jag parts catalog RTC9888CE dated August 87. I can't believe these O rings are all that seals it? Is there a separate manual or something for the Dana? Perhaps someone knows of a manual from some US domestic iron? This rear end is very popular among the hot rodders I hear, so there must be quite a bit of experience with it and probably a book, anyone know?
Thanks in advance for any help

Thanks for the pointer Doug.
You may be able to give me another pointer here. I am just about ready to drop the cage, but I am having difficulty removing the radius arms. Bolts are out, but how do I remove that big rubber bush from the body mount, the passenger side bolt was really rusty the other was OK. Is the mount tapered or straight. Should I spray with penetrating oil and leave over night? I tried to lever it off with my large screwdriver but the rubber bush gives too much so I can't get much leverage at the mounting point. I suspect there may be a special tool for this. My manual is not very helpfully, just says remove, Ha! I bet the last time this was removed no anti seize was applied. Acetone & Transmission fluid mixed 50/50 is my favorite for penetrating frozen parts, but I am afraid it may affect the rubber. Suggestions?
