its not an airbag, its a mild interior facelift with a steering wheel pad , revised indicator and lighting stalks ( possibly tilt column ) and yes the grearknob was a sport pack option
probably a very late MY90 model
and any car is only worth what someone is willing to pay , and if someone likes it, then who are we to argue, as it will only reflect well on our own cars value

The problem is when someone sees something priced for more then they can afford to pay rather then admit their shortcomings they immediately start to find fault with the price and allude to what its worth or how it is over priced. Makes no difference that a global market affects price in both directions.

Beautiful car and higher sales are better for everyone, no reason to think otherwise.

Graeme Hunt is a respected UK dealer who tends to trade in rare and high-end examples of Classic Cars. So, I suspect the car is a. very good and b. that he'll get close to the asking price.
It's not unusual for rare low-mileage XJS to start making these prices over here in the UK, particularly late 6 litre convertibles. The XJS does seem to have a strange disparity in prices on the two sides of the pond, more so than many other classic cars.

Factor in conversion rate at 50,959.00 american dollars thats a big disparity but if someone wants a concours condition XJS not like you can go down to your corner dealership and buy a new one.
