No rear seats, just the box with the locking hatch door, chrome handle, and the pump under a leather covered compartment cover.
Everything works ok, it just leaks. I bought the pump shaft seal, and I'm trying to replace it.
I read all the other posts on this topic, but I need help removing the pump/bracket.
I removed the two 8mm hex bolts on each side, and lifted up on the bracket, which curves up behind the pump.
The bracket seems to move as if there's another bolt at the top behind the pump, but I cannot see one due to the black plastic (foam insulated) box going around the whole pump. The foam is disintegrating, of course.
I cannot find any other bolt(s) holding the bracket, underneath or anywhere else. There are 2 screws on each side of control box holding it down.
I moved the large black wiring harness around, to look under it, but there are no other bolts on that side.
There are 4 rubber mounts holding the pump down to the bracket. Please help, post a photo, ANYTHING???
Once I'm finished, I'll post photos and results. Thank you ALL very much!!!

 

I have to dig deep in my own memory, but I remember there is/are hidden bolt(s).
I struggled a bit as well, but as far as I remember nothing tricky, just clean the stuff up and dismantle some more, and you will see them.
I am sorting my XJS stuff right now to re-activate my project, if you need, the pump and holder can come out of one the boxes one of these days.

 

I am trying to get the pump bracket loose without removing the compartment box.
Is this possible, Photos? Advice?
Something better than 2 inboard and 1 outboard? Where outboard?
